I combine painting, stitch manipulation, weaving and artist book making to investigate memory, in-between places, non-places, and heterotopias in relation to my own identity as an Asian American woman. Through my own experiences growing up in the suburbs of Georgia, I make work that is a constant self-examination of my memories of the American South as an in-between place that is both familiar and foreign. These memories and landscapes shape an un-findable identity that drives my work.
