Screen Print on Lycra, black electrical tape, two multi media collagges
Precariously positioned in realms of fantasy, reality, rational and irrational, my work attempts to establish a visual vocabulary, through use of abstracted, natural imagery, material, and shape, to address intimately psychological aspects of human interaction such as vulnerability, trust, and fear. Through material exploration and experimentation with screen-printing, sewing, felting, collage, and installation, I create obscurely shaped collage and fabric pieces whose lack of clear narrative mirrors the confusion and dysfunction I believe to be present in human experience.
