I use a variety of mediums that are synthesized to create a range of works aimed to audiences of a non-artistic background. I create sculptures out of found materials, screen-printed and hand-painted fabrics, performance videos, and interactive installations. I deal with issues of loneliness, escapism, and feelings of displacement. Using accessible materials, familiar strategies, and playful modes of engagement, my interest lies in using any method that will engage audiences in a comfortable way.

Art therapy has led me to socially based artistic practice. Working collaboratively with children in impoverished communities, has helped push my idea of creating fun and nostalgic environments. My intentions are to display issues from my own personal experiences to make a comfortable meeting place between strangers to talk about theirs. In the end, my work is an exploration of self, as I use my own embarrassing characteristics to encourage the viewers to acknowledge and embrace their own.
