This work is about distance. For me, drawing is a kind of study; it is about closeness with an image, with a process and with a material. Yet the distance represented in these images is literal and explicit. The tension between intimacy and distance cites the disparity between the location of the body and the space of the land. It is the image of the land, viewed from above, that has been the root of my analysis.
