Mountains are myths.

Giant, ore-filled things to conquer, and to fall off, and they're so damn tall.

I am interested in using iconic nature imagery to talk about mythology and to talk about romantic constructions; to build narrative experiences that are intrinsically wrapped around one static object. By using materials such as recycled coat leather, wood and wool, and understanding that these items have a natural and social history of their own, the sculptures intrinsically embody these innate references, which are then compounded, the image of the object and the nature of it's materiality, to build the history that informs the experience of the present. And I want them to be wondrous, like the most ridiculously ecstatic walk on a summer night.
