I am interested in hybrid forms: bodies, aliens, and animal/human hybrids. I was born in South Korea and lived there for twenty-two years. After I came to the US, so many things changed in my life, and I feel like I am an alien in this society. My work responds to my feelings of nostalgia, alienation, and solitude.

Currently, I cast with toilet paper and glue, and make several kinds of alien cows employing the forms of consumer products like baby bottles and milk cartons. My installations rely on the multitude of repeated forms, setting up a confrontational space of material over consumption, sometimes humorous. We are living these days in an enormously complicated world, which is tangled with propaganda versus advertisement, body versus consumer product, nature versus nurture, organic substance versus artificiality. My alien cow installations represent my response to this reality.
