My practices find ephemerality in materials, for instance, reflections and shadows in the medium of light, as a metaphor to investigate notions on the transformative quality of memory. I draw with unusual materials, such as light, shadow, and projection to challenge the perceptions of drawing. I experiment with formlessness material, human body to social phenomenon as a metaphor to ask the philosophical question of ontology, “What is reality” to my audience.

I create an inner space for the “invisible body”, where I can find the shadow of those who had ever existed in my memory. An important part is to provide ambiguity for the audience’s own imagination to complete the work. The environment is a tool to let audience experience beyond the limitation of physical body, allow them to travel in time, memory and consciousness.
